Times of crisis

Just as 2023 is drawing to a close some things are finally coming together.

We now have all the machinery we longed for in-house. We've started using techniques that felt a million miles away only a few short months ago. We have inserts for all the different Louis Vuitton Agenda sizes and we're branching out into both gold and rose gold edging. And there's lots more to come...

But the truth is it's been a challenge... it's the challenge I chose. And I feel very lucky to have been able to do this. The hours can sometimes be long; there are moments when things just don't work... take the events of this week.

A very straight forward item arrived from our supplier. But there were multiple issues. A similar thing happened last year and I was devastated. It took me a while to pick myself back up and move on- but not this time. Equipped with the knowledge and more importantly the experience of handling these occurrences before I went straight to the root of the issue and set about making it right.

It's strange, but this little crisis made me feel good- because I could feel how much I'd grown. It's nice sometimes to have lines in the sand as markers- but always make sure you keep an eye on them as they can be extremely rewarding to recall at the appropriate time... and they're all too easy to wash away from your memory. That's why I find tracking so useful in my planner. I've also started keeping a small diary that I can look back on and really see the change.

So here's to rounding off the year a little older, and hopefully a little wiser.

I hope you all have a wonderful festive season
